2008 SIGN UP DETAILS

This year, football will be played BY GRADE. (1&2, 3&4, 5&6 will not combine).

First and second grades will play flag and third through sixth will play tackle.

If we obtain the proper balance of registered kids in each grade we will try to split teams between AISD and DISD otherwise we may have to combine the school districts and draft for teams as we have in the past.
Practice will begin middle to late August with games being played during September & October.

Participating towns include: Aubrey, Sanger, Whitesboro, Pilot Point, Collinsville & Callisburg.

Games will be played in Aubrey and at the other participating towns on Saturday afternoons and evenings.

Practices will be in the evenings during the week.

AAYSA football participates in the Tri-County Football Association as we have in the past.

When: Saturdays, May 3rd & May 17th 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Where: PR storage facility North of Aubrey on HWY 377

Registration Fee:      $85.00

* Registration fee includes game jersey and pants
* Volunteer deposit will be refunded after 2 hours of volunteer service

Equipment Deposit:  $100.00 (to include for helmet & pads etc.)

* Parents will be required to purchase game and practice pants if not purchased through the AAYSA during registration

FOOTBALL SCHEDULE

 
Normal times are:
Flag game - 4:30 pm
3/4 game - 6:00 pm
5/6 game - 8:00 pm

If there is a double header, the first set will be:
Flag game - 10:30 am
3/4 game - 12:00 pm
5/6 game - 2:00 pm
2nd Flag game - 4:15

2nd part of the double header will simply be normal times.

Announcement from Tri-County Football

Attention all Flag Coaches and Parents

Tri-County Football's intent of Flag Football is to generate an interest in the game of football for the kids.

The Flag league has always been set up as a non-competive league, and no scores or standings are reported.
Tri-county Football has a zero tolerance for Coaches, Fans and Parents that let there desire to win influence the kids playing time and the adult’s behavior on and off the field.

Please be advised that, if necessary, the Board will implement a minimum play rule for all teams if the teams cannot monitor themselves.

Let it also be known that the Board will BAN any coach / parent or fan that acts in a way that goes against the values and mission of the league.
